Image 1/6 This particular case study is a before-and-after look at the Bass & Baskets Bed and Breakfast job. It was an overall branding initiative, giving them a much-needed unified look.
Image 2/6 From the beginning, the brand lacked a cohesive feel across its different points of communication. Both visually and verbally, they were a bit all over the map.
Image 3/6 Regarding their online presence, it just wasn’t where it needed to be. It was functional – but in today’s world, users are looking for a bit more. They needed a site that really reflected the Bass and Baskets experience – after all, that’s what makes them different.
Image 4/6 First things first, we provided a logo and business card. We wanted to pick up on the original inspiration of the inn – the baskets that were cherished by one of the owners and the colors of nature that were admired by the other. We stayed with their tagline, as it seemed a very smart direction to go.
Image 5/6 Just as their inn is welcoming to all who knock, we wanted the website to be equally accommodating. Easy navigation, warm copy and a unique touch here and there make this site stand out amongst competitors.
Image 6/6 Two especially unique touches are the recipe section and Ed’s Photo Gallery. Both pick up on passions that the two innkeepers have, and invites users to feel like one of the family. After all, it is their “…home at the lake.”
