Good post Joe.  It’s imperative that anyone with a web presence monitors and measures their performance on the web.  One other interesting aspect of Google Analytics is the recent addition of Real-Time.  Have you guys used this particular feature much in your agency?  I’ve found it to be quite informative especially when you’re seeking up-to-date information on your visitors.

    Thanks for the great video!

Thanks Ivan. I’ve played a bit with the real time data, but not a whole lot yet. How have you found it most useful?

There’s various ways you can apply this information.  For me I like to see how users navigate thru my site in real-time and try to identify new patterns or behaviors aside from what standard reporting provides.  Additionally real-time is encompassing with the Visitors Flow report.  Here’s more on that http://www.ivantemelkov.com/2011/11/23/google-analytics-introduces-visitors-flow-report/

As things progress with analytics I’m sure there will be a justified reason for specific use.  Real-time is in beta still anyway and I’ve found some errors in reporting myself when taking it for a spin.  You should check it out when you get a chance.
