Gorilla 76 isn’t for everyone, and that’s okay. Here are some guidelines about leaving us.
Termination of employment
Employment at Gorilla 76 is based on mutual consent, which means either the employee or the company may terminate employment at any time, with or without cause.
Common types of employment termination include:
- Resignation: voluntary departure initiated by an employee
- Discharge: involuntary termination initiated by the company
- Reduction in force (RIF): involuntary termination for non-disciplinary reasons (e.g restructuring)
In most cases, an exit interview will be scheduled to review final logistics, including:
- Employee benefits and COBRA options
- Repayment of outstanding debts to Gorilla 76
- Return of company-owned property
- Opportunity to share suggestions, or concerns
Voluntary resignation
If you choose to resign, we ask that you provide at least 15 business days of written notice. While advance notice is not legally required, this courtesy allows for a smoother transition for you, your teammates, our clients and the team as a whole.
Taking it a step further, if you’re actively searching for a new role and plan to leave Gorilla 76, we encourage you to let us know. In recognition of your professionalism and in appreciation for helping with a smooth transition, full-time employees who give at least six weeks’ notice and commit to leaving within three months will receive a 10% salary increase during their remaining time at Gorilla.
More about the exit interview
We welcome your honest feedback about your experience at Gorilla 76. To ensure input is candid and constructive, our HR consultant Stephanie Hall conducts exit interviews. These will be scheduled following resignation and are a valuable tool to help us continue improving our workplace.
Final pay and benefits
Employees will receive their final paycheck in accordance with applicable state laws. Please note: unused Vacation or Sick Days will not be paid to a departing employee. Medical, dental and vision coverage may be continued at the employee’s expense under COBRA.
Post resignation/termination procedures
On or before your final day, we will coordinate the return of all company-owned property including:
- Computer
- Company-issued credit cards
- Any additional equipment or materials issued by the company
Reference requests
Any requests for references about current or former employees should be forwarded to Jon. Reference information provided to potential future employers will include:
- Dates of employment
- Final job title
- Final salary
