Resignation

Gorilla 76 isn’t for everyone, and that’s okay. Here are some guidelines about leaving us.

Although advance notice is not required, Gorilla 76 asks for at least 15 working business days written resignation notice from all employees. This practice is for the employee’s protection as well as for the protection of our clients and the company.

Taking it a step further, we strongly encourage employees to tell us if they’re actively looking for a new job and have plans to leave Gorilla. Our employees are very good at what they do and are very hard to replace. From the moment an employee tells us of their decision to leave Gorilla and that they are in the search for a new job, any full-time employee who gives us at least six weeks’ notice will be given a 10% salary increase for the remainder of their time at Gorilla. We ask that they leave within three months. And we promise, no hard feelings.

Additionally, we’d like your thoughtful inputs on your time here – what you liked about Gorilla 76 and what you didn’t. We use an external HR Consultant to obtain your inputs so you can feel comfortable giving us candid feedback. This exit interview will be scheduled upon your resignation.

Employment termination

Termination of employment is part of personnel activity within any organization, and many of the reasons for termination are routine. Below are examples of some of the most common circumstances under which employment is terminated:

  • Resignation: voluntary employment termination initiated by an employee
  • Discharge: involuntary employment termination initiated by the organization
  • Reduction in force: involuntary employment termination initiated by the organization for non-disciplinary reasons

Gorilla 76 will generally schedule exit interviews at the time of employment termination. The exit interview will afford an opportunity to discuss such issues as employee benefits, conversion privileges, repayment of outstanding debts to Gorilla 76 or return of company-owned property. Suggestions, complaints and questions can also be voiced.

Since employment with Gorilla 76 is based on mutual consent, both the employee and Gorilla 76 have the right to terminate employment at will, with or without cause, at any time. Employees will receive their final pay in accordance with applicable state law. Any unused PTO Days will not be paid to a terminating employee.

Remember that under various laws (COBRA) some benefits may be continued at the employee’s expense if you choose. Talk to us if you have a question about continuing your coverage.

Post resignation/termination procedures

We will schedule an exit interview with a terminating employee on the employee’s last day of employment and for arranging the return of company property including:

  • Computer
  • Office keys
  • Company-issued credit cards
  • Any additional Company-owned or issued property

Employees may choose the continuation or waiver of medical coverage and dental coverage under COBRA.
